New version now online for update/full installation.

Version: 1.0.111

- Added: Introduction to our new Video Chat platform! Premium users can finally see what we're working on here, with the first version of this now available. Please note that this is still in development and will be improved over time, including the quality and frame rates. We are introducing it with very low frame and quality to test our in house servers and infrastructure before we turn it up and dial it in fully, so please try not to be disappointed as over time this is subject to change dramatically once this proof of concept is live for a while, debugged, tweaked, and proven to be stable. Note: Non premium users will be unable to use this service at this time, with only a 30-45 second preview being available to them - this is because of ongoing bandwidth costs and we are unfortunately unable to make any promise of free Video services at this time.

- Added: Ability to connect to Video Chat on joining a room, this is optional and disabled by default in Preferences -> Chat.

- Added: Ability to block a Video Chat user from seeing your stream, or stop/start viewing another user who is also on video.

- Improved: The rendering system throughout has been revamped and now uses a new core, rather than SHDocVW previously. This is an attempt to improve efficiency/resource usage and fix a number of animation issues that have arisen in recent months re: smilies and username backgrounds suddenly stopping moving at random. You can revert to the previous engine in Display (SHDocVW) rather than the new CEF option if you wish or if you have difficulties but this is not recommended unless necessary and will be phased out in the next few versions completely.

- Added: Loading and connection animation.

- Added: Right click view display picture feature.

- Added: View All Display Pictures in the room feature.

- Improved: Translator moved to a new more stable service.

- Fixed: Minor contact issues.

- Added: More username backgrounds for both free and premium users.

- Fixed: Automatic status changer bug related to music players.

- Planned: We are going to upgrade the user interface for room moderation to be more intuitive and organised shortly.

- Planned: We will give you the ability to see a moderation log of all actions performed in your room and who they were performed by shortly.

We are aware some of the above may have some bugs and will fix as we find and as they are reported, I invite all of our users to utilise these forums to report issues as and when you see them, providing necessary screen shots and as much information as possible so we can recreate any issues.

We are aware of some minor rare bugs on our contact management system also and are working actively to hunt down and resolve those.

We are working to improve our back end servers over time and have set them as priority while we continue to tweak these new features, we apologise for the delays in updates in recent months however we feel an overhaul of our network is required to provide ongoing high quality and stable services, and will endeavour to complete these server upgrades shortly.

Once that is done we plan to introduce a private Video service, person-to-person, and improve both file transfers person-to-person and person-to-person calling/voice chat in private.

For now you can still enjoy these things by creating a free room and setting this to private, that should temporarily suffice until the above are completed and working successfully.

We are also in the midst of introducing a new support system here on the web site which will become visible and usable soon, enabling you to contact our support staff via web site, or email, and log in to your support panel to see all tickets raised/pending and reply, working with staff to resolve the problem.

We also have plans for mobile Messenger support on both Android and iPhone in the future.

As you can see we have many plans, all of which will drive towards improving user experience, stability, and supporting our growth as we go forwards, we are not standing still even though at times a lack of visual upgrades may make it seem so. Please be patient as we currently have a very small team of development and support staff, along with administrative staff who can carry the entire system, as we grow they will too and it will become easier to fund and introduce new innovative features to you guys but for right now this is not the case so patience is critical at this stage!

Thanks
